background and philosophy

I provide patient-centred care as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and certified subspecialty Urogynaecologist.

Having completed a subspeciality fellowship in Urogynaecology, I have the training, skills and experience to provide the range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the management of pelvic floor dysfunction including prolapse, incontinence and some bowel complaints, using conservative, medical and surgical approaches.

I work within a multi-disciplinary team maintaining strong relationships with general practitioners, physiotherapists, continence nurses and medical specialists including colorectal surgeons, to provide the best support for women to improve their quality of life.

I have a special interest in obstetric pelvic floor trauma - its prevention, acute management and follow-up, and continue to undertake research in this field.
